Back in the office

Well, after two months of cycling I am finally back in my office.

I travelled with my recumbent trike from Slovenia to Portugal and spent there one month cruising around, visiting interesting places.

If you go to Portugal, this should definitely be on your visit list:

  • village Piodao
  • village Monsanto
  • Batalha monastery
  • Ursa beach close to Cabo da Roca

I will need some time to get back on track with my regular job, after what I will resume my work on the RotoWallet project additional info.  Check back in a couple of days for some photos of my trip.

Made in Europe

I am doing everything to ensure RotoWallet will really be “made in Europe“. Not just finalised and assembled by me here in Slovenia but I do not want to order parts from China or any third world countries.

eu-flag

Why? Because I am allergic to seeing “made in China” on almost anything I pick up and very often it could have easily been made in Europe. Even more so when it comes to fruits and vegetables. I do not understand why do we have to import garlic from China as it grows locally and plums from Argentina? Makes absolutely no sense!

Innovative use of strong magnets

Keplero Luxury wallet can be as thin or as thick as you need it to be. Thanks to their innovative use of strong magnets to stack plates together.

keplero-luxury-walletYou can store cards on either side of each plate and you open up the wallet like a paper folding fan. This makes it easy to find and acces the card you need.

As thin as possible

There are quite a few variations of the expandable card wallets on the market… These I guess, are the thinnest wallets you can have and they mostly consist of two plates or fronts (of various materials) held together by rubber / silicone o-rings or an elastic band.

carbon-fiber-strap-slimtechSlimtech pictured above has a very simple carbon fiber or aluminum design. You have an option to add a carbon fiber strap for storing banknotes and you may brighten it up a bit with tension straps of various colors. Continue reading As thin as possible

As simple as possible

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.

Decadent Minimalist wallets are just that. Simple! But this does not mean it was simple to construct/design. The most important feature of this minimalist wallet is definitely the principle how it holds cards in place.

<img class="aligncenter wp-image-81 size-large" src="http://rotowallet.eu/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/decadent-minimalist-wallet-1024×683.jpeg" alt="decadent-minimalist-wallet" width="474" height="316" srcset="http://rotowallet.eu/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/decadent-minimalist-wallet best weight loss supplement.jpeg 1024w, http://rotowallet.eu/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/decadent-minimalist-wallet-300×200.jpeg 300w, http://rotowallet.eu/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/decadent-minimalist-wallet-768×512.jpeg 768w” sizes=”(max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px” />The great thing about it is, it uses the casing itself as a spring to keep cards securely locked inside. Everything made of a single block of aluminum or titanium. Keeping things so simple is not always that easy. So, congratulations are in order!

About my inspiration

So let’s take a quick look at what other mini wallets are available on the market…

First the FusionWallet which inspired me to start thinking of my own product. What I like most about its design are the wooden sides. My favourite would be wallnut (or cherry and pear – the reddish type of wood) and those kinds at that with lots of irregularities, not the “clean” ones.

FusionWallet

I like the simplicity of the Fusion wallet and its minimalist design. The fact that you can see screws which are kind of a design feature. And what is the winning reason for my praise? It is the fact that it holds coins. Finally a very nice small technical wallet with storage for coins!

And now the longer version of the logo

So what do you say of the written out form of the RotoWallet logo?

Versatile, customisable and upgradable

From the ground up I designed the RotoWallet to be versatile, customisable and upgradable. What does all this mean?

First of all there will be left and righthanded models available. As we  each hold the wallet in a different hand and this will allow it to feel more natural for everyone.

You will be able to upgrade the base with optional extras based on your needs and habits website link. Upgrades currently in the process of design are: money clip, adjustable third compartment, RFID/NFC blocking  and two electronic modules. More about the later follows 😉

Not much here yet.

Website is still in early stages of construction while the prototype wallet is already usable and I’ve just modelled the final modifications in PTC Creo.

I prefer to do 3D modelling or practical work on further improoving prototypes Les instead of html coding, but I know this is also important. So stay tuned for updates. I promise you will like the wallet presented. I’ve been searching for a minimalist wallet myself Полезней, for a few years now. I guess since I first saw one on Kickstarter. But I do not know about you, I however always have some coins lying around. And most minimalist wallets just dismiss them. Well, inspired by Fusionwallet I created something new and unique.

I am combining a collection of high quality materials wholesale jerseys and components: Titanium, Carbon Fiber, Aircraft-Grade Aluminium, neodymium magnets, iglidur W300 bearing,… The main goal however is practicality and SALATALIK usability with potential for future upgrades and expansion options. I’ve got lots of ideas already but it’s the good foundation which has to come find first.

Stay tuned! It’s gonna get interesting 😉
