So how did I come to slim / minimal wallets?
I am not exactly sure but I think it was actually on Kickstarter a few years back when I first found out about this crowdfunding platform. I saw a slim wallet design and I immediately liked it. As I always have and have had a problem where to put my wallet.
Since then I always liked to check out new development in this field but mostly all these wallet designs offered no solution for carrying coins. So not acceptable for me as I sometimes even have more coins than paper in my wallet 😉 It was finally FusionWallet which solved the coin problem.

Keplero Luxury wallet can be as thin or as thick as you need it to be. Thanks to their innovative use of strong magnets to stack plates together.
You can store cards on either side of each plate and you open up the wallet like a paper folding fan. This makes it easy to find and acces the card you need.

There are quite a few variations of the expandable card wallets on the market… These I guess, are the thinnest wallets you can have and they mostly consist of two plates or fronts (of various materials) held together by rubber / silicone o-rings or an elastic band.
Slimtech pictured above has a very simple carbon fiber or aluminum design. You have an option to add a carbon fiber strap for storing banknotes and you may brighten it up a bit with tension straps of various colors. Continue reading As thin as possible
So let’s take a quick look at what other mini wallets are available on the market…
First the FusionWallet which inspired me to start thinking of my own product. What I like most about its design are the wooden sides. My favourite would be wallnut (or cherry and pear – the reddish type of wood) and those kinds at that with lots of irregularities, not the “clean” ones.
I like the simplicity of the Fusion wallet and its minimalist design. The fact that you can see screws which are kind of a design feature. And what is the winning reason for my praise? It is the fact that it holds coins. Finally a very nice small technical wallet with storage for coins!

From the ground up I designed the RotoWallet to be versatile, customisable and upgradable. What does all this mean?
First of all there will be left and righthanded models available. As we each hold the wallet in a different hand and this will allow it to feel more natural for everyone.
You will be able to upgrade the base with optional extras based on your needs and habits website link. Upgrades currently in the process of design are: money clip, adjustable third compartment, RFID/NFC blocking and two electronic modules. More about the later follows 😉
